An hour before anyone arrives, the backyard is quiet. The chairs are still stacked. The grill is warming up. A full-size boombox sits at the edge of the patio with two wireless mics resting beside it, and the LED display is already lit. Nobody has pressed play, and the yard already looks like something is about to happen.
That feeling is exactly what this speaker brings.
The Bumpboxx Flare8 Pro is a full-size retro boombox with 400 watts, two wireless mics and up to 10 hours of battery, for $499. It plays loud, and it gives the party something to gather around.
At a glance
Built for the person who brings the party. House parties, tailgates, karaoke nights and live sets all run off one box, with music, vocals and a guitar through the same speaker. The catch: it weighs 35 lbs and is 30.5 inches long, so plan on using the included support strap.

Where the Flare8 Pro Comes From
The Bumpboxx story starts in 2016, when founder Rob Owens set out to bring back the presence and attitude of the classic boombox. The Freestyle came first. The Uprock followed when fans asked for something bigger.
The Flare series answered a different question. Could Bumpboxx keep everything that makes a Bumpboxx a Bumpboxx in a size and price more people could reach? The Flare6 and Flare8 kept the iconic boombox shape, the bold presence and the sound of the larger units in a format that was easier to carry and easier to take anywhere.
The name comes from breakdancing. Flare is borrowed from the moves of the era that made the boombox an icon. A flare is a power move, legs sweeping in wide circles around the dancer. It is made to be watched.
The Flare8 Pro is the upgraded Flare8. Same size, same concept, with more power and more features built in. In today’s Bumpboxx lineup, the Flare8 Pro sits in the LOUDEST tier with the Freestyle Pro and the BB-777, but at a lower price.

The Occasion It Was Designed For
The Flare8 Pro was designed for house parties, block parties, tailgates, car meets, karaoke nights, live sets and game days, and it solves the same problem at all of them. A small Bluetooth speaker gets lost once the party gets loud. A traditional PA can feel technical and plain. And music, karaoke and live performance often call for three separate pieces of gear.
The Flare8 Pro puts all of it in one for $499. Music, vocals and a guitar can run through the same speaker. Bring the box. Start the party.
Flare8 Pro Specs at a Glance
Visual Identity: a Speaker That Looks Like the Party
At 30.5 inches long and 16 inches tall, the Flare8 Pro carries the full boombox silhouette. Set it on a table or a tailgate and people notice it before they hear it.
The LED display shows your settings at a glance, including the five EQ modes. The colorways give it personality: White, Black, and NYC Graffiti, plus a USA edition. Each one gives the speaker a different attitude.

The Flare platform has also become a canvas for music culture. It has carried exclusive collaborations celebrating artists including Selena, Aaliyah, DMX and Snoop Dogg. The Selena edition set the tone. A limited Flare6 was released in late 2020 to mark 25 years of her legacy. It was designed with her sister Suzette Quintanilla and featured original artwork by Christa Palazzolo. It sold out in less than a day. Those designs gave fans a way to celebrate the music that shaped their lives on a product that already belonged to that culture.
The Flare8 Pro iD carries that idea further, with a custom printed front grill that puts your own artwork on the same speaker. A DJ’s logo, a brand’s name, an artist’s own work or a school club’s colors can all go on the front.
How Loud Is the Flare8 Pro? 400 Watts and Two 8-Inch Woofers
A party speaker that earns its place. The Flare8 Pro runs a 400 watt digital stereo amp through two 8 inch woofers.
Five EQ settings let you shape the sound for the moment, whether that is a bass-heavy playlist in the yard or vocals that need to cut through a crowd. Stream over Bluetooth or play straight from USB or SD.

For a bigger space, you can pair two compatible units with TWS (True Wireless Stereo) for wider stereo sound, or link units through the audio in and out connections.
Two Wireless Mics Included for Karaoke and Live Sets
The Flare8 Pro includes two wireless microphones, so karaoke can start the moment someone picks a song. Duets and battles work right away. So do birthday toasts, raffle announcements and the friend who insists on hyping up the grill master.
For performers, there are 1/4-inch mic and guitar inputs. Plug in a guitar and the same box becomes a stage for an acoustic set, a busking session or a jam that starts after dinner. The guitar and cables are yours to bring.

Portability and Placement
The Flare8 Pro runs on a rechargeable battery, so the party can happen far from an outlet. It weighs 35 pounds, and the included support strap makes the trip from the car to the spot easier.

The battery gives you up to 10 hours of play, depending on volume and settings, and charges over Type-C.
Good to know: Placement is part of the show. Put it where people can see it: the end of the patio, the open tailgate, the corner of the court. The included remote means you can change the track or adjust the volume from across the room without leaving the conversation.
Who the Flare8 Pro Is For
The Flare8 Pro was built for the person who brings the party. The host planning a birthday, a cookout or a block party who wants enough sound to carry a backyard party without building a complicated system.
Performers get the most out of the inputs. A fitness coach can run an hour-long class in the park on battery power, with the playlist coming through the woofers and a wireless mic for calling out sets, and still have plenty left for the next group. A busker can plug a guitar into the 1/4-inch input, keep one wireless mic for themselves and hand the other to a singer, so the whole act runs through one box carried on a strap.
DJs, dance instructors and event hosts will find the same setup works for them. So will the fans who show up early on game day and want the energy going before kickoff.
Some of those people remember a boombox on their shoulder. Some are seeing the shape for the first time. The Flare8 Pro works for both.
Turn Any Place into the Place
Back to that backyard. The chairs are out now, someone has claimed a mic, and the speaker in the corner is the reason everyone keeps drifting toward that side of the patio. That's the moment the Bumpboxx Flare8 Pro was made for.
